although和though的区别：意思不同、用法不同、侧重点不同。
一、意思不同
1.although意思：conj. 虽然；尽管；然而；可是

二、用法不同
1.although用法：引导的复合句中，若主句和从句的主语相同，且从句的谓语动词含动词be，则从句的主语和动词be可以省略。
例句：
Although they can swim, the polar bears are terrestrial animals.
北极熊虽然会游泳，但也是陆栖动物。
2.though用法：引导让步状语从句时表示一种假设的情况或含有推测的意味,从句的谓语动词可用陈述式,也可用虚拟式; 有时为了强调让步的意义,可采用倒装语序。

三、侧重点不同
1.although侧重点：不能与but在句中同时出现，即有了although就不可以再用but。
2.though侧重点：though可以做副词，指“但是”，但是although不行。

although与though的区别在于：
1. 用作连词
表示“虽然”，两者大致同义，可换用，只是 although 比 though 更为正式。例如：
